weather, playing with my brothers and sisters. I just want the holidays to be here again!!!

Pancakes

Pancakes! It is so wonderful to creep into the kitchen early in the morning and bake a surprise batter of pancakes for breakfast! All three of us sisters love pancakes, (especially because the cook gets to devour the extra one!!) and as a bonus its one of the simplest recipes that you can get!

Ingredients:
Makes 8       -

2 cups Plain Flour

2 cups Milk
2 Eggs

Method:

Place ingredients all into a bowl, and whisk together till smooth. Then turn on a hot-plate to about half-way. Pull out a frying pan, and place it on the hot-plate. Then, dish a small piece of butter into the pan and spread it around. After that scoop some Pancake batter out with a ladle, and pour it on the surface of the butter. Wait till it is cooked well on one side, and then flip it over to the other. Repeat method till your bowl of mixture has completely disappeared!

 Bon Appetite!!

homemade apple pie

Okay you pie lovers out there! Here is a mouth watering recipe of a home baked Apple Pie!
I know, it sounds like an absolutely simple dish... But it's not really. But don't get down-heartened,
take a breather and a chill-pill, and then buckle down for some fun in the kitchen and a delicious desert!!

We love Apple pie. You can eat it steaming hot straight from the oven, or serve it up cold with a good dollop of vanilla ice-cream on the side!! We found our recipe from Gran's Kitchen, by Dulcie May Booker and Natalie Old field, so if you want your apple pie to turn out looking, smelling and tasting as good as our version then a trip to the bookstore might pay off. A lot of the things that we cook on this blog are from Gran's Kitchen and we love them all!! Thanks Gran!! :)

There you go! A beautiful Apple pie, waiting to be eaten!
Tres-Bien!!

Tea and Cinnamon Cake

Today, my dears, we whipped up a Tea and Cinnamon cake. The recipe is as easy as pie (we will get to those later on ...) and it took only a couple a minutes to make the batter and then shove it in the oven to bake. We made this beauty for a high tea party, (you will hear of these often as we hold one almost every week.) we spread a white table cloth over our table and set it with our finest china and a vase of freshly picked flowers.
Once the buzzer on our oven screamed to let us know that the cake was cooked we all gathered around the table with our poetry books and glasses of lemonade. Then, as the afternoon sun flooded through our windows we all sipped on our lemonade, nibbled the cake and took turns reciting our poetry. The day resulted in the decision that cooking tastes a whole lot better when you have someone to share it with! Happy baking!

And "Wola," there you have it - one delicious Tea and Cinnamon cake ready to be tossed onto a cake stand and served up for high tea or for desert. Bon appetite!

P.S This recipe was found in Gran's Kitchen - a cook book written by Dulcie May Booker and her granddaughter Natalie Oldfield. Hope you enjoy!

Tea Time

Bonjour! This a blog run by three sisters, we all love to cook and bake delicious foods, and we love it even more when we can enjoy the outcome! (Washing up doesn't get included here!) We are Masterchef fans, mixture eaters, and we love to battle it out with kitchen spoon duels. This is our blog, where we will share recipes, post photos and laugh lots. (Next to cooking, we spend most of our time laughing.)We hope that you will visit often and hang around for sparks of inspiration, lots of laughs and giggles, and cup of tea with perhaps even a slice of cake on the side!!
